# Music v2 — the full fork-model catalog (2026-06-12) All 43 songs on contract v2: every track is a ramp with a fork — a shared minimal calm base, then thematic activity and danger ladders that add depth and may change tempo. Per song: - `calm.opus` — the calm section, bed only. The fishable/readable state; channels above the bed are empty by authoring. - `activity2.opus` — the activity section at full ladder (L1 melody + L2 counterlines/drive). - `danger2.opus` — the danger section at full ladder ("it's here"; in-game the director ramps L1→L2 and the section may run at its own tempo — listen for tempo shifts vs calm). (`menu` is a legal calm-only degenerate — one file.) This supersedes `../music-drafts/` (v1 stack renders, kept for comparison). Catalog-wide changes since v1, from the owner's review: zero sustained-noise beds (composed events/pitched air instead), celesta register discipline (high only in fast/upbeat songs), danger that means something per environment, motif statements developed rather than quoted. Spec: docs/music-environments.md; sweep: docs/music-sweep-2026-06.md. Suggested first listens: - `ocean-sailing` — the flagship: calm deck → travel melody → storm at 112 BPM. - `caves-vaulted` + `crystal-lumen` — the two underground-replacement candidates, both re-seated low. - `rift-descent` — danger SLOWS (72→64): dread by deceleration. - `meadow-firstbloom` — danger with no darkness: a bee swarm at 126. - `windcaves-still` — the silence piece; calm is most of the music.
