# Leitmotif solos — bare note sequences, no backing

Each motif's reference statement rendered twice on a single clean
pluck at its HOME key/mode/tempo (where it's "most itself"), so you
can hear the contour that threads through its family:

- `horizon-home.opus` — G mixolydian 100 (ocean-sailing). Rises to a
  crest, ends open on 2 — never arrives.
- `hearth-home.opus` — F ionian 84 (meadow-haze). The gentle rock and
  the only full cadence in the set — rest is its meaning.
- `vault-home.opus` — A dorian 66 (caves-vaulted). Root–fifth–octave
  reaches, the 6 as emotional pivot.
- `foxfire-home.opus` — B lydian 76 (crystal-lumen). The quick high
  cell built for scattering and echo.
- `tread-home.opus` — D aeolian 80 (tundra-longwalk). Even quarter
  steps; the gait is the identity.
- `elegy-home.opus` — A aeolian 76 (beach-greystrand). Falls from the
  fifth, reaches back once, lets go.

Showpiece transforms (same data, one helper call):
- `tread-inverted-rift.opus` — invert(TREAD) in E aeolian: the walk
  that falls (rift-descent's device).
- `foxfire-augmented-aurora.opus` — augment(×2) in E lydian: glints
  stretched into curtains (tundra-aurora).
- `vault-aeolian-shadow.opus` — VAULT with the 6 shadowed by aeolian
  (vs the dorian warmth of the home) — the family's built-in pivot.
